• We are honoured to have been nominated again for the 2009 Sutherland Shire Community Group of the Year Award.
• Our thanks go to Councillor Lorraine Kelly, Mayor of Sutherland Shire Council, for nominating us as the recipient charity for the 2009 Mayoral Ball which was held on June 13, 2009. It was a fabulous event.
• 30 of our home visiting volunteers recently completed First Aid for Kids courses presented by Susie Ivison from Survival It's Life - Sutherland.
• Our service received a Community Service Award, in recognition and appreciation of outstanding contribution to the community, from the Premier of NSW. It was presented to us by Malcolm Kerr at his office on 7th August 2009.
• Our thanks go to the Highfield Committee of The Sutherland Hospital for their recent generous donation to our service.
• We are delighted to have been awarded a grant from the Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund, which was presented at the Cronulla Branch of the Commonwealth Bank.
• We were successful with our submission for funding for Sutherland Council's Annual Community Services's Grant 2009/2010.
• We were also successful with a small Volunteer Grant for equipment from the Department of Families, Housing Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.
